“In My Life” – A Post For Maggie On Valentine’s Day

“There are places I remember,
all my life though some have changed.
Some forever, not for better;
some are gone but some remain.
All these places had their meaning,
of lovers and friends I still can recall.
Some are dead and some are living.
In my life, I’ve loved them all.

“But of all these friends and lovers,
there is no one compares with you;
and these memories lose their meaning,
when I think of love as something new.
Though I know I’ll never lose affection –
for people and things that went before.
I know I’ll often stop and think about them

In my life – I love you more.”

They aren’t my words Maggie. They were written by John Lennon but they are what I feel and I don’t have the words to express those feeling better than they are in this song. I loved you the first time you smiled at me and I love you still. I love you more today than I did yesterday – but not quite as much as I will tomorrow.

Happy Valentine’s Day.

      Happy Valentine’s Day to you too. Isn’t it nice to have a day that celebrates something without all of the attendant politically correct arguing and nonsense that surrounds other special days like Christmas and even Halloween?

    Aww, Bear. You made me cry. I’m glad you’ve got Maggie. I think she makes you into a pretty cool guy.

      I will grant you this. She does make me strive to be a better person than perhaps I used to be.

        To you Bear and Maggie.
        I love this song for the simplicity of it’s universal message. You remind us so well in your writing bear, about how the world is all in this together. Happy Valentines day…..
